There are 500 Catholics in Dongcheng District. Each year, many religious activities are held in Nangangzi Catholic Church such as “Christmas”, “Easter”, “Assumption”, “Pentecost” etc. Especially the religious four activities attract more than thousands of Catholics to take part in. It is the most important site for religious activities in southeast Beijing. The church covers an area of 0.1 hectare and sets up a small nunnery. The church was built by Laimeng Ke, priest from Dongjiaominxiang Church, St Agnes from Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul, Nun Xia Dagu, from Joseph in 1910.
