Day 1
A full day excursion to the Great Wall - the landmark of China. It is one of the most amazing feats of human labor. After lunch, a drive to the Ming Tombs along the Sacred Way with giant marble figures and animals guarding the tomb area for deceased emperors of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644AD).
Day 2
A morning tour of Tian'anmen Square, the largest public square in the world, and the Palace Museum, known as the Forbidden City; the complex of imperial palaces are home to the emperors for over 500 years in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Some of the grand halls have been used as museums for fine collections of Chinese treasures. After lunch you will be driven to visit the Summer Palace, a former summer resort for the royal family, and take a boat ride on its Lake Kunming. This evening you will be treated to a delicious Beijing Roast Duck as dinner.
Day 3
Drive to Chengde. Visit the Imperial Summer Villa, located in the city of Chengde, is largest China’s Imperial garden. Twice the size of Beijing Summer Palace, construction spanned nearly ninety years, beginning under Emperor Kangxi in 1703 and lasting through the greater part of Qianlong rein. The Imperial Summer Villa often saw use as second capital as Kangxi set a precedent followed by Qianlong and succession of other Qing emperors of spending much of the year at the garden. In 1994, the Imperial Summer Villa became a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 4
This morning you are expected to visit two of Eight Outer Temples, Puning Temple and Mini Potala Temple which is exactly like the Potala Palace in Lhasa and the Temple of cases by the Putuo Temple, built in the palace is the Panchen Lama VI, named Longevity of Temple of Sumeru. And that Puning Temple, where for the world's highest wooden Buddha - Kuan Yin Bodhisattva seat, is believed thousand hands and thousand eyes on body. The Mountain Resort and the surrounding temples is a closely related organic whole, but also has a different style of strong contrast, Mountain Resort of elegant simplicity, its surrounding temples beautiful decoration. This is the Qing emperor one of important measures in handling ethnic relations.
Day 5
Your sightseeing this morning is the Temple of Heaven, where the Ming and Qing emperors prayed for good harvest. It is the largest temple complex remaining in China today. After lunch, you will be transferred to the airport for departure.
