Day 1

The Forbidden City, as an imperial palace, is 961m long from north to south, 753m wide from east to west. With 10-meter-high walls on all sides and a 52-meter-wide moat around it, the Forbidden City is impregnable. Jingshan Park, facing Beihai in the west and the Shenwu Gate of the Forbidden City in the south, used to be the imperial garden in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The center of the park is Jingshan Mountain, which was once the high point of the city.

Great Wall & Downtown Two-day Tour
Day 1

The Great Wall Badaling Great Wall, known as "one of the nine major gateways in the world", is an important part of the Great Wall, a great defense project in ancient China. It is a pass of the Great Wall of Ming Dynasty and an outpost of Juyongguan, an important pass of the Great Wall. In ancient times, it was said that "the danger of Juyong lies not in the pass but in Badaling".

Day 2

Olympic Park The majestic national stadium is one of the landmarks of the Beijing Olympic Games. It is located in the south of the Olympic Park and the east of the central axis. It is the main stadium of the 29th Olympic Games in 2008. Wangfujing Street The daytime tour of Wangfujing is "through 700 years of prosperity". There are numersiou shops on the Wangfujing Street. The most famous one is the Beijing Department Store, and some shopping malls, such as APM, Oriental Xintiandi, Beijing Mall, Wangfu Central, Yintai IN88, Dong’an Market, and Wangfujing church, Beijing Lisheng sports mall, and Lego, NBA global flagship store, Adidas, Skechers and other collection shops. Day 1

We visit the dramatic and less crowded Mutianyu section 70km from Beijing set amongst spectacular mountain scenery. Dating back to the 6th Century and largely rebuilt in the 16th century during the Ming Dynasty it is one of the best preserved sections of the wall largely due to the high standard of construction. The tour includes cable car tickets cable up and down the Wall.

Day 2

Today, you can visit one of Beijing's many markets. Favourites are the Silk Market, Pearl Market and Panjiayuan antique market. If souvenir shopping isn’t for you other options are the Hutong (Old Beijing's narrow street) of Nanluoguxiang, the 798 Art Area or a quick look at the impressive 2008' Beijing Olympic Park. Day 3

Today you will see the main highlights of Beijing starting with the Temple of Heaven, considered by many to be the most beautiful building in China. On to vast Tiananmen Square, home to the Mao Mausoleum (it may be possible to visit if open) and Monument to the People's Heroes before walking to the huge palace complex of the Forbidden City. We'll walk up the middle axis from South to North taking in the splendor of the most important central buildings before finishing in a small and ancient garden by the north gate. The last stop today is at the Summer Palace to the west of Beijing. Dominated by Kunming lake it is as popular an escape from the city for today's Beijingers as it was for the Imperial court over the centuries.

Day 1

The Palace Museum - formerly known as the Forbidden City, served as the imperial palace of 24 emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is an unparalleled ancient architectural masterpiece, and also the largest and most complete ancient architectural complex of timber structure today in the world.

Day 2

The National Museum of China - a comprehensive museum that juxtaposes history with culture and combines collection, exhibition, research, archeology, public education and cultural exchange together. With a total building area of nearly 200 thousand square meters, over 1.2 million pieces of collections and 48 exhibition halls, the museum is dubbed the largest single-building museum worldwide and one of the museums with the richest Chinese art collections.

Day 3

Capital Museum of Beijing - The Capital Museum houses a large collection of ancient porcelain, bronze, calligraphy, painting, jade, sculpture, and Buddhist statues from imperial China as well as other Asian cultures. Absorbing the latest research achievement of Beijing history, cultural relic and archaeology, drawing lessons from the successful experience of domestic and foreign museums, it has formed the unique characteristics of the modern exhibitions in Beijing.

Day 4

National Museum of Art - the main building, roofed with yellow glazed tiles and surrounded by corridors and pavilions, features the styles of ancient Chinese attics and traditional architecture. The building, with 17 exhibition halls in its 5 stories, covers an area of more than 18,000 square meters.

Beijing-Chengde Five-day Tour
Day 1

A full day excursion to the Great Wall - the landmark of China. It is one of the most amazing feats of human labor. After lunch, a drive to the Ming Tombs along the Sacred Way with giant marble figures and animals guarding the tomb area for deceased emperors of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644AD).

Day 2

A morning tour of Tian'anmen Square, the largest public square in the world, and the Palace Museum, known as the Forbidden City; the complex of imperial palaces are home to the emperors for over 500 years in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Some of the grand halls have been used as museums for fine collections of Chinese treasures. After lunch you will be driven to visit the Summer Palace, a former summer resort for the royal family, and take a boat ride on its Lake Kunming. This evening you will be treated to a delicious Beijing Roast Duck as dinner.

Day 3

Drive to Chengde. Visit the Imperial Summer Villa, located in the city of Chengde, is largest China’s Imperial garden. Twice the size of Beijing Summer Palace, construction spanned nearly ninety years, beginning under Emperor Kangxi in 1703 and lasting through the greater part of Qianlong rein. The Imperial Summer Villa often saw use as second capital as Kangxi set a precedent followed by Qianlong and succession of other Qing emperors of spending much of the year at the garden. In 1994, the Imperial Summer Villa became a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 4

This morning you are expected to visit two of Eight Outer Temples, Puning Temple and Mini Potala Temple which is exactly like the Potala Palace in Lhasa and the Temple of cases by the Putuo Temple, built in the palace is the Panchen Lama VI, named Longevity of Temple of Sumeru. And that Puning Temple, where for the world's highest wooden Buddha - Kuan Yin Bodhisattva seat, is believed thousand hands and thousand eyes on body. The Mountain Resort and the surrounding temples is a closely related organic whole, but also has a different style of strong contrast, Mountain Resort of elegant simplicity, its surrounding temples beautiful decoration. This is the Qing emperor one of important measures in handling ethnic relations.

Day 5

Your sightseeing this morning is the Temple of Heaven, where the Ming and Qing emperors prayed for good harvest. It is the largest temple complex remaining in China today. After lunch, you will be transferred to the airport for departure.
