In 1958 and 1959, the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse was built around the ruins of the ancient terrace. It was turned into a state guesthouse to accommodate leaders of various countries. In recent years, Diaoyutai State Guesthouse has received VIPs in political and economic fields from all over the world.
Diaoyutai State Guesthouse is located outside of Fuchengmen Gate, east of Yuyuantan, southwest of Fucheng Road and Sanlihe Road.
