Phoenix International Media Center (凤凰国际传媒中心)

Phoenix International Media Center is located at the southwest of the Sun Park, which is a complex integrating many functions such as TV program production, office and business spaces. The designer took "Mobius Strip" as the prototype, made a fusion between the high-rise office area and the media studio, and thus formed a complete architectural space and building volume providing full range of program production venues and other supporting facilities. The unique architectural form is in great harmony with the natural landscape of the Sun Park.

The unique shape (head-and-tail connection, up-and-down transition and inside-and-outside connection) of this western mathematical model just agrees with the eastern architectural concepts of “Harmony between Man and Nature” and “Tao (the Great Way/Principle) Obeys Nature”. Basing on this design concept, the architect determined the horizontal, vertical control lines and those of particular spatial forms of the building, while considered the structure, material, human scale and feeling, making people feel a powerful visual impact.
