One-Hundred-Li Landscape Corridor

One-Hundred-Li Landscape Corridor is located in Qianjiadian Town in the northeast of Yanqing County, belonging to the core area of Yanqing Ecological Containment Area. The scenic area covers a total area of 371 square kilometers, 40 kilometers from the county and 110 kilometers from the downtown area. It is adjacent to Huairou District in the east, bordered by Chicheng County in Hebei Province in the north, and connected to Xiang Ying, Liu Bin Fort and Pearl Spring in the southwest and southeast respectively. In 2007, it was rated as one of the top 10 best routes for self-driving tours in Beijing. And on September 17, 2010, approved by the National Tourism Administration and the National Tourism Scenic Area Quality Rating Committee, it became the first large national 4A tourist attraction in Beijing, covering the whole town and achieving "town and scenery in one".
The scenic area includes one ring, three districts and twelve nodes. It involves a total of 112 miles of riverfront ring, hence the name "Hundred Mile Landscape Corridor". The scenic area has excellent ecological environment and rich tourism resources. The scenic White River Valley and the magnificent Black River Canyon have nurtured the magical silicified wood group, the precipitous waterfall, the mysterious Wulong Canyon, the solemn Chaoyang Temple, the ancient Guandi Temple and the lush Datan Primitive Secondary Forest and other rich tourism resources. It is a semi-humid zone with warm-temperate continental monsoon climate and rich in negative oxygen ions in the air. With an average annual temperature of 8°C and an average annual precipitation of 477.2 mm, it is a veritable summer resort and green oxygen bar.
The scenic area has 6 scenic spots such as Silicified Wood Group, Wulong Canyon, Dripping Pot, Chaoyang Temple, Dragon King Temple, Guandi Temple, and 18 rural tourism reception villages such as Xiushuiwan, Changshouling, Gujiayao, Xiawan, as well as a number of geological and cultural landscapes such as Little Kunlun Mountain, Shujian Peak, Marine Sedimentary Remains, Caimugou Paleolithic Site, Wenchang Monument, Datan Nature Reserve, Thousand Mu Sunflower Sea, Ten Thousand Mu Scutellaria Tea Garden, Yanshan Academy and Writing Base.
Beijing Yanqing Silicified Wood National Geological Park is the main body and an important part of the Hundred Mile Landscape Corridor Scenic Area. It is the first comprehensive national geological park in China with the typical, rare and precious silicified wood group as the main landscape, which integrates tourism, leisure and vacation, and scientific research. Since the opening of the park on September 6, 2002, when the monument was unveiled, the park has been awarded as the first national science and technology base of land and resources, national science education base, Beijing Geological Remains Nature Reserve, Beijing Cultural Relics Protection Unit and Capital Civilized Tourism Scenic Spot.
