With the changes of the times, Beijing roasted duck has become famous at home and abroad. Beijing duck has become a characteristic and high-quality agricultural product of Beijing. In 2017, Beijing Duck won the national Geographical indication certification of agricultural products, and in 2020, it was included in the China-EU Mutual Recognition List of Geographical Indications. "In the past, 80 percent of ducks in the Beijing Roast Duck market came from the Qianlu Duck Farm in Beixiaoying Town, Shunyi District." Huang Li said that due to changes in the industrial structure, the former Lu duck factory has stopped production. Today, the idle factory has been transformed into the Beijing Duck Historical and Cultural Center, covering a total area of 2,150 square meters.
In 2022, Beijing launched the protection project of geographical indications for Beijing duck agricultural products. At present, the geographical protection of Beijing duck geographical indications covers 46 towns and streets in 8 districts of Beijing, which has led to more than 1,800 farming households in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

The Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park（奥林匹克水上公园）was built for the rowing, canoeing and 10 km open-water swimming events in the 2008 Summer Olympics. The Shunyi Olympic Rowing and Canoeing Park is located at Mapo Village in Shunyi District in Beijing. The first competitions at the venue were held in August 2007, a year ahead of the 2008 Olympic Games for which it was built.
