Beijing Qinpu Study

Qinpu Study, also known as the Dream of Red Chamber Post Office, is located within the Cao Xueqin Memorial Hall in the northern section of the National Botanical Garden in Beijing. This was the place where Cao Xueqin, the author of the famous novel Dream of the Red Chamber, spent his later years. Qinpu Study, named after Cao Xueqin’s courtesy name “Qinpu,” is a memorial hall that exudes a serene and quaint atmosphere. Walking through the green bamboo and arriving at the traditional Qing-style courtyard, visitors can immerse themselves in its exquisite charm, stepping on the green bricks and savoring the fragrance of flowers, evoking a sense of nostalgia for the past. Notably, the Red Chamber Dream Post Office has been set up within the premises, allowing visitors to have their notebook stamped as a memento, showcasing thoughtful and convenient services.
