Liu Quan Ju

Liu Quan Ju Restaurant, set up in 1567, is one of the eight famous restaurants in Beijing.
Liu Quan Ju was nestled in a courtyard featuring a willow and a well on Huguosixikou Road at the very beginning. Hence, it gained its name Liu (willow) Quan (well) Ju (Residence). At that time, it was mainly engaged in Huangjiu (yellow rice wine)business. Restaurants mainly sold four types, Shaoxing Wine, Beijing Wine, Shandong Wine and Shanxi Wine and what Liu Quan Ju sold was Beijing yellow rice wine.
