Tianfuhao

It is said that in Qing Dynasty, a man named Liu Fengxiang came to make a living in Beijing. He and his partners opened a store specializing in making and selling cooked meat including braised pork with soy sauce, braised pork shoulder with soy source and so on. However, because of its narrow space, the store did not attract many customers. One day, Liu Fengxiang went to the market and occasionally found a plaque which says “Tianfuhao”. Liu thought that those words looked fabulous and had a good meaning, so he bought it home and hung it over the store. Strangely, since then, Liu’s business started to become successful and the store attracts more and more customers. Later, braised pork shoulder with soy source made in the store was even became the tribute to the royal family and received good comments from Empress Dowager Cixi.

Tianfuhao is quite fastidious about its ingredients selection, meet cooking techniques and procedures. Therefore, meat cooked in Tianfuhao has a strong and tasty flavor. It now also provides some western style products such as bacon and Spanish Ham in order to attract more young customers.
