Zhengxingde

Zhengxingde tea house was founded in 3rd year of the reign of Emperor Qianlong in Qing Dynasty (1783), and has had a history of more than 260 years. The founder of the Zhengxingde belonged to the Hui nationality and believed in Mohammedanism, so it was a halal tea house. As the only halal tea house in Beijing for hundreds of years, Zhengxingde received a great popularity among the public.

The original site of Zhengxingde tea house was in Tianjin, while after the founding of the people’s Republic of China, it opened a tea company in Beijing in 1982 and formed a chain industry specializing in tea production, manufacture, processing and sell.

In 1999, Zhengxingde was praised as the time-honored brand, and in 2006 Zhengxingde’s techniques of making jasmine tea were enlisted in Beijing’s intangible cultural heritage
