Taianli - Shuttle through alleys looking for "Shanghai-style Longtang" in Beijing

Located on the corner of Renshou Road in Xicheng District, Beijing, there stands a Shanghai-style shikumen building that attracts attention. It is the Taianli, a new urban area constructed between 1915 and 1918. After many years of silence, this shikumen building has been renovated and transformed into the "Taianli Cultural and Art Center," which was officially unveiled on April 3rd this year. Even in Beijing, one can feel the charm of "old Shanghai."
