During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, the four famous Hui Opera troupes "Sanqing", "Chuntai", "Sixi", and "Hechun" successively entered Beijing for performances, and they were famous throughout China. During this period, the four major Hui Opera troupes all lived near Dashilan: "Sanqing" lived in Hanjia Tan, "Chuntai" lived in Baishun Hutong, "Sixi" lived in Shanxi Xiang, and "Hechun" lived in Litieguai Xiejie.
