A park in the southwest corner of Xicheng District"s Dashilan and north of Zhushikou West Street is eye-catching. Upon closer inspection, it turns out to be a hidden gem.
In 2018, an 800-square-meter small park was built at the south entrance of Dongfushouli Hutong in Xicheng District, Beijing. The park is planted with magnolia, pomegranate, persimmon trees, etc.
In 2014, a small courtyard was transformed into a public reading space mixing bookstores, archives and museums, named Beijing Zhuandu Reading Space. Finally Zhengyang Bookstore was selected as the entrusted operator.
A pelican sculpture is placed outside the store, and the exhibits with bright colors inside the store create a refreshing leisure environment.
The café is popular for its flower cups, "To the Imperial Palace". Every visitor to Jingshan Park will buy a cup of coffee or tea with flowers, ritualistically climb up the Wanchun Pavilion and take pictures.
