The park was completed in 2008 and covers an area of over 2,000 mu. It is open all day. You can take bus 469 to the terminal station, the west gate of the Summer Palace, to reach the park.
The park has beautiful natural scenery and a wild charm, with famous poems from Yuquan Mountain and the Summer Palace as its theme. It meets the needs of citizens for sightseeing, leisure, fitness, and picking, making it a leisure park that combines daily fitness and leisure entertainment, cultural and sports activities on weekends.
Yudong Park combines the tranquility of lakes, tower reflections, and idyllic countryside views. The peaceful lake shimmers under the sunlight, with a small island covered in lush greenery. In the distance, an ancient tower stands tall, adding a touch of historical depth to the park.
In the 1980s, Beijing Amusement Park, one of the first large modern amusement parks in China, was built here and was converted into a park after the amusement park ended its operation in 2010. The Ferris wheel, which carries the collective memory of the post-80s and post-90s, is preserved after reinforcement and brightening and is the memory symbol and spiritual bastion of the whole of Longtan Zhonghu Park.
Located on the south side of Beiqing Road in Haidian District, there is a niche and tranquil park built along a river channel. It features many Jiangnan-style garden landscapes, with waterfowl and spotted deer inhabiting the area. It is also pet-friendly, and visitors often bring their furry companions for a stroll when the weather is good.
Although this park in Changping is called a "forest" park, its main attractions are closely related to water. Located north of the Shisanling Reservoir (Ming Tombs Reservoir) and south of the Jingmi Diversion Canal, it serves as an important link between the reservoir and the urban area.
The sports area in the park includes a tennis court, two basketball courts, four badminton courts, four table tennis courts, a fitness paradise, and a children's playground. There is also a standard natural grass football field, and all facilities are free of charge.
