Former Site of Anhui Guild Hall (安徽会馆旧址)

Anhui Guild Hall was proposed by Li Hanzhang in A.D.1868 Qing Dynasty of Tongzhi times, and supported by the general of Huaijun. More than two million silver is collected, and the Li brothers contributed 1,000 liang for each. The Guild Hall was started to build in Feb., 1869, and completed in 1871.

The hall is in a large-scale, covering more than 9,000 square meters of the Gongsunyuan relics. Its construction is comprised with left, center and right, the three major sets of buildings. And every set has 5 courtyards, with hundreds of houses. It also built Wenjutang, Shenlou, Xiyuan, etc. The Xiyuan is facing the south, with the stage is between the public gallery, and the watching tower, surrounding the stage from three sides, is two-stored, and looks elegant and beautiful.
