Qi Baishi was an influential Chinese painter known for his whimsical style. He owned two residences in total in Beijing. One of them is the Memorial Hall of Qi Baishi’s Former Residence in the Yu’er Hutong now open to the public. Facing East, the residence is a three-courtyard house with two courtyards on its wings. Qi Baishi moved into the residence at 50 and had lived here until his death.
