Zhi Mei Lou

Zhi Mei Lou is a time-honored brand restaurant specializing in Shandong Cuisine. It was found in 1842 in the Qing Dynasty. It is said that at first zhi Mei Lou was a small stall selling snacks with flavor of regions south of the Yangtze River, and was famous for wonton and radish cake. The stall was set up for satisfying the need of those students who came from the south China to the capital to take examination. Later Zhi Mei Lou was sold to three owners who came from Shandong province, and at that time Shangdong cuisine was quite popular among the city. Since then, it became a restaurant that mainly served Shangdong cuisine.

The chef of Zhi Mei Lou is good at combining traditional cooking techniques with modern dishes, and then designs a batch of creative dishes that receive a great popularity.
