In the first week after opening day, approximately 10,000 people a day came, causing queues outside.
The first and second floors contain mainly lounge areas and reading rooms. The floors above have computer rooms, meeting rooms, and offices. There are also two rooftop patios.
The library's main highlight is the atrium, inspired by the concept of "a diligent path through a mountain of books." From the floor to the walls and ceiling, the atrium is completely surrounded by terraced bookshelves, creating the impression of endless books. These shelves serve as bookcases, seating, and steps: the narrowest for walking, slightly wider for standing or resting, and the widest for sitting and reading.
In the center of the library is a futuristic spherical multifunctional hall, equipped with surround sound and digital projection capabilities.
