The stratum ruptured and cliffs forms, taking shape of a giant stone that resembles a standing eagle; therefore it is called the Eagle Stone. The stone is 20 meters high, and in the past pigeons preferred to cluster in the stone crack, which is the origin of the Pigeon Nest Park. As the best place to appreciate sunrise, the park is crowded with countless tourists every summer. The process of the sunrise is short, once it appears, just after a blink, the sun jumps into the sky, leaving a land of golden light and tourists’ cheer.
Besides sunrise, Pigeon Nest park is also a wonderful place to watch birds. Every year, when it comes to spring, tens of thousands rare birds stay here and look for food, which becomes a popular sightseeing place. At the late 1990s, the park was granted as a national bird nature preserve. Pigeon Nest Park welcomes visitors from all sides in a new attitude.
