Beidaihe Scenic Spot

Beidaihe Scenic Spot, which is located in the eastern coastal area of Beidaihe District of Qinhuangdao City and goes northeast to Pigeon Nest Park, is a famous bird-watching resort. It is a National AAAA-rated Tourist Attraction, known as the "mecca of bird-watching". There are more than 6,600 hectares of forest, more than 50 mu of wetland, mudflats, lagoons and sluggish river channels formed by the estuary of Daihe River and Henghe River. It is named as "Beidaihe Wetland" by the international convention for wetland protection and is under national protection. The good ecological environment of biodiversity makes it a paradise for birds, a post station for birds migrating from Siberia, northern and southern China, the Philippines and Australia. In spring and autumn, there is a great spectacle that migratory birds migrate with red-crowned cranes and white storks flying and singing in groups through the air. It is a place with good ecological protection. It covers an area of 6650 mu with 6600 hectares of forests and 50 mu of wetlands, which is a collection of natural ecology.
Beidaihe has beautiful scenery and numerous historical sites, which fully displays the charm of the sea, the tranquility of the forest and the aura of the mountains. It has formed three major scenic spots, namely Pigeon Nest, Middle Beach and Lianfeng Mountain. It is the peak tourist season in Beidaihe from the end of June to the end of August. It is the best time to beat the heat. It is also a good time to swim in the sea and play on the beach.
