Tianjin Porcelain House

The Porcelain House was a western-style building lasting for hundred years, which was built in the late 1920s. Covering an area of more that 4,200 ㎡, it was the former residence of Chinese diplomatic officer Huang Rongliang. In 2000, Zhang Lianzhi bought this house and turned it into a porcelain house with the purpose of promoting the porcelain culture of Chinese nation.

In 2007, the Porcelain House was officially opened to the public and became a landmark of Tianjin. Made of precious ancient procelains inluding more than 5,000 ancient porcelain bottles, more than 4,000 ancient porcelain plates and bowls, and more than 20 tons of natural crystal and agate, this building has become a must-visit scenic spot for visitors who come to Tianjin. With breathtaking appearance, the Porcelain House is designed to outstand the charm of Chinese porcelain.

Even till now, Zhang Lianzhi still keeps decorating and restoring the house.
