The name "沕沕水" comes from the sound of flowing water in the area, meaning deep and subtle. Huhushui Village is home to the "Hushui Waterfall", a karst limestone spring with multiple levels of waterfalls.
In 1947, in order to solve the problem of lack of electricity in the military factories in the Jin-Cha-Ji Border Region, with the approval of the Central Work Committee, it was decided to build a hydroelectric power station here using the drop of the Mimi Waterfall. In 1948, the Hu Hu Water Hydroelectric Power Station was officially completed and began generating electricity.
