Almond Jelly

The hot summer is around the corner, so why not have a bowl of dessert to relieve the heat? Almond jelly is one of the traditional Han Chinese snacks. Due to its flawless white appearance and delicate taste that are similar to tofu, it is named almond jelly.
This dessert is easy to make and can be easily done at home by yourself. The ingredients include sweet almonds, gelatin, sugar, fruit and milk. First, peel the almonds and grind them into pulp. Then add milk to the pulp and boil the mixture. Add the sugar water and gelatin to the mixture and let it cool in the refrigerator to form a jelly. Cut the jelly into small cubes, and add fruits, honey or sugar water according to your own taste.
Almonds are known as the 'king of nuts' and can provide rich vitamin E, dietary fiber, high-quality protein, and trace elements such as potassium, magnesium, zinc and iron. The appropriate consumption of almonds can achieve the effect of quenching thirst, moistening lung, relieving asthma and relaxing bowels. However, excessive consumption of almonds (either bitter or sweet) can cause poisoning, and they must be soaked in water several times and fully boiled before consumption.
