It is said that the creator of Chao Ge Da was a mother and daughter surnamed Mu. Because of low price and high cost, the business earned minimum profits. One day, after a whole-day selling, there were lots of flour left. When they were worried, a creative idea stroke them. They made flour into small dough drops, boiling them in the water, and then airing them in cool places. At night, they stir-fried whose boiled dough drops with vegetables and meat lumps and found the new dish was incredibly tasty. So the next day, they put this dish on their menu and named it as Chao Ge Da. With cheap price and delicious flavor, the new dish attracted plenty of customers and became famous soon.
