The Palace Museum Coffee Cup

Located in the centre of Beijing, the Forbidden City has been closely influencing many aspects of the Chinese people for centuries. In the past few years, with the rise of cultural and creative products in the Forbidden City, its collections and relics have become more and more "accessible" in our lives!

Recently, the Corner Tower Café has attracted a number of visitors because of the paper coffee cups it designed and utilised. These cups are designed with motifs on the Qing Dynasty court collections, indicating significant historical and cultural meanings. The colours and patterns imply good luck and echo with the colours of the Forbidden City. One of the designs even applies the dragon pattern, which is the exclusive pattern of the emperor. In this way, we can easily walk into the life of the royalty and the nobles, and experience the items they used and wore at the time.

Due to the aesthetic and ornamental qualities, they can also be used as penholders and vase. Therefore, promoting cultural creativity while at the same time promoting resource conservation and environmental protection

Holding such a beautiful coffee cup in such a fun Forbidden City, we will feel like blending into the palace and travelling back to the Qing Dynasty!
