Yuanmingyuan Lotus Ice Cream

It has been a tradition for Beijingers to enjoy cherry blossoms in spring and lotus flowers in summer. Nowadays, there are thousands of acres of lotus ponds with more than 300 kinds of lotus flowers in Yuanmingyuan.

Yuanmingyuan Park has launched its lotus ice cream, which was inspired by the widely-welcomed elegant ancient lotus. At first there were four flavors of ice cream: lotus, strawberry, rum raisin and pistachio, and later the rose flavor was added. The packaging of the ice cream is patterned with the most characteristic Da Shui Fa site of Yuanmingyuan, which is pretty characteristic.
