Beijing Silk Flower

Beijing silk flower, also known as "Beijing flower", is a traditional color tie art in Beijing. Silk flower began in the Yuan Dynasty, and flourished in the early Ming Dynasty, and then came into the heyday in the mid-Qing Dynasty. It is a traditional folk art in Chongwen District, Beijing, which is also one of the national intangible cultural heritages.

Silk flowers are flowers imitated by silk fabrics of various colors. They also have different types, such as peony, azalea, moonflower, chrysanthemum and so on. Beijing silk flowers are made of silk, damask, power spinning, foreign spinning, and other materials.
