The Bookworm

In 2010, The Bookworm was awarded as “the Top Ten Bookstores in the World” by the world’s famous travel guide, “Lonely Planet”, and also the only bookstore in Asia that won this reputation. It enjoys a great position with a quiet atmosphere, whose artistic temperament is a reminder of 798 Art District.The Bookworm is a quiet place hidden in the downtown Beijing's Sanlitun bar area and that is reason why this bookstore is hailed as “Bar + Coffee + Western + English Library + Bookstore + Cultural Center”. The bookworm once was inscribed in the list of top 20 most beautiful bookstores worldwide by a well-known American website. Most of the books here are original versions from different English-speaking countries. Books can be read, purchased, or borrowed with a membership card.
