Nowadays, the canteen, which conveys the old generations’ memory, has turned into a leisure spot serving western cuisine and BBQ. The canteen mainly specialized in fusion dishes, and creates a set meal called “Cha Gang Meal” that uses retro enamelled mess tin to serve food, adding Shougang soda water, which is definitely a part of memory of the Shougang locals.
Once entering the canteen, customers will immediately be attracted by its retro decoration style: rusted pipelines standing through the ceiling, walls with graffiti demonstrating the steel furnaces and Big Air Shougang. With most old constructions remained and new decorations added, the whole canteen integrates old and new, rough and fashion.
