It boasts the largest outdoor skateboarding and rock climbing facilities in Beijing, covering a total area of 17,900 square meters. Among them, the rock climbing area occupies 4,261 square meters, the skateboarding area covers 4,386 square meters, and the leisure area spans 9,266 square meters. The park not only caters to international-level professional competitions but also welcomes skateboarders, rock climbing enthusiasts, and non-professionals, providing more opportunities for public participation.
Located in the heart of the park, Qunming Lake was transformed from the industrial circulating water pool of the Shougang Blast Furnace. During the winter, migratory birds such as the green-headed duck, tufted duck, and Chinese merganser migrate from Siberia and gather on the lake. Flocks of wild ducks leisurely forage on the water surface, creating a stunning scene that harmonizes with the mountains, blast furnaces, pavilions, and bridges, forming a picturesque “birds paradise”.
The park not only caters to international-level professional competitions but also welcomes skateboarders, rock climbing enthusiasts, and non-professionals, providing more opportunities for public participation.
