The China Philharmonic Orchestra Concert Hall and its supporting facilities are expected to be completed and put into use within the year. The total construction area is about 26,000 square meters, featuring a 1,600-seat symphony hall, rehearsal rooms, recording studios, and other supporting facilities. It is the largest and most fully functional standalone professional concert hall in Beijing.
The building is designed with the concept of "Lotus・Jade," featuring warm and transparent glass curtain walls, and an interior ceiling with lotus petal-shaped acoustic panels. The acoustics employ full-enclosure vibration damping and isolation, a steel structure room-within-a-room, and floating floor technology to create a pure auditory experience. The stage can accommodate 120 performers, and the terraced seating offers excellent sightlines. The orchestra's home performances occupy one-third of the schedule, while the remaining time is open to top orchestras worldwide, bringing high-level symphonic music feasts.
