Hanshiqiao Wetland Reserve is the only large reed marsh wetland in the plains of Beijing, serving as a habitat and stopover for many rare and endangered bird species during migration, earning the nicknames "Eastern Beijing Reed Marsh" and "Suburban Little Baiyangdian." In recent years, the Hanshiqiao Wetland Reserve has recorded 394 plant species and 246 bird species, making it an important habitat and migration site for numerous bird species.
