The National Museum of Classic Books, supported by the extensive collections of the National Library of China, is a national museum dedicated to showcasing Chinese classics and promoting Chinese culture. It integrates the functions of collection, exhibition, research, preservation, public education, cultural heritage, and cultural leisure.
The National Museum of Classic Books is located in the southern area of the National Library on Zhongguancun South Street in Haidian District, Beijing. With a total building area of 11,549 square meters and 10 exhibition halls, it offers the public a more spacious visiting area, better leisure facilities, and an enhanced museum experience.
The "Zhen Guan: The Glorious Era of Emperor Taizong of Tang" exhibition is now open to the public in the third and fourth halls of the National Museum of Classic Books. This is the first large-scale exhibition on the Zhen Guan era in Beijing, following the growth of Emperor Taizong (Li Shimin) and showcasing his exceptional talent, foresight, and human side. The exhibition aims to take visitors on a journey through history, experiencing the splendor of the Tang dynasty and understanding the diverse, inclusive, and resilient spirit of the Chinese nation. The exhibition runs until August 25, 2024.
