Located in Qingshuiyuan Community of North Dongzhimen Street, Beijing Water Supply Museum (Beijing Tap Water Museum) established in 2000 is one of the 12 incredible museums in the world. It belongs to Beijing Waterworks Group, and it is the first museum that set up by enterprise self-financing in Beijing. Besides, it is located at Dongzhimen Waterworks, the first waterworks in Beijing.

There are two classic European-style architectures standing in the Suzhou -style white walls and gray tiles, one of them is a circular pavilion with a green roof named Laishuiting; the other baroque building was used to house steam engines, and it is the main exhibition hall now. Entering the wooden gate of the Museum, you will see many words on the front door of “Dongzhimen Waterworks” in traditional Chinese characters. Then walking into the exhibition hall, you will be amazed at various kinds of utensils for collecting water in the late Qing Dynasty displayed on your left-hand side, including a wooden wheelbarrow standing nearby with two buckets and a carrying pole on the top.
