The exhibition "Chinese Treasures - Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage and Arts and Crafts Exhibition" is an important part of the series of cultural activities for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. The exhibition is divided into eight sections, displaying 1,298 pieces (sets) of treasures and masterpieces of arts and crafts and intangible cultural heritage. 80% of the exhibits are on display for the first time to the public, and most of the exhibits are from the collection of the China Academy of Art accumulated over the past 70 years.
In addition to the static exhibits, the exhibition also presents activities such as topography, calligraphy, seal carving and other heritage project demonstrations and experiences. A dynamic display area is set up in the multi-functional theater, where exhibitions of non-heritage items and lectures by experts and scholars are regularly held. Visitors can make reservations through the public WeChat number of the exhibition hall. At the same time, a traditional theater has been built in the "Legend of Opera" exhibition area, which not only demonstrates the traditional Chinese wooden construction techniques, but also serves the function of performing intangible heritage projects.
