The museum consists of an Administration Office, Party Committee Office (Discipline Inspection Commission Office), Human Resources Department, Finance Department, Collection and Acquisition Department, Exhibition Department, Social Service Department, Academic Research Department, Digital Information Department, and Logistics and Security Department.

Located at the foot of Eagle Mountain and on the banks of Yongding River in Fengtai District, Beijing, the China Garden Museum is the first national museum in China with the theme of gardens. It has been under construction since 2010 and opened for operation in May 2013.
Tsinghua University Art Museum owns more than 13,000 pieces of collections, covering six major categories, namely, painting and calligraphy, embroidery, porcelain, furniture, bronze ware and comprehensive artwork. Most of the collections are from Academy of Arts & Design since 1956, and donations from Tsinghua alumni or some social elites.
