Beijing Lin Zexu Drug Control Education Base (Fuzhou New Museum) was established in 1816. It was a hometown association hall purchased by Lin Zexu and officials from Fujian in Beijing. It is now an immovable cultural relic in Xicheng District.

Beijing Lin Zexu Drug Control Education Base (Fuzhou New Museum) was established in 1816. It was a hometown association hall purchased by Lin Zexu and officials from Fujian in Beijing. It is now an immovable cultural relic in Xicheng District.

During the seven years (1813-1820) that Lin Zexu lived in Beijing, he mainly lived in the area south of Xuanwumen (Xuannan area), and Fuzhou New Museum was an important venue for his activities.

In 2019, the Beijing government completed the renovation and exhibition of Fuzhou New Museum, and opened it to the public as the Beijing Lin Zexu Drug Control Education Base.

The Fuzhou New Museum has a theme exhibition on Lin Zexu's anti-smoking efforts, divided into three units, showcasing Lin Zexu's life experiences such as studying as a youth, entering officialdom, and anti-smoking efforts at Humen.

The museum also has a special exhibition titled "The Long Road of the Anti-Drug Struggle" which reviews China's history of drug control since modern times, showcases the achievements of China's anti-drug efforts, and uses popular science to explain the harm of drugs and the characteristics of new types of drugs. The exhibition focuses on spreading knowledge and skills for preventing drug harm.
