The Beijing Gold Lacquer Inlay Art Museum officially opened on August 27, 2022. It is themed around the national intangible cultural heritage project "Gold Lacquer Inlay Decoration Techniques" and integrates sightseeing, study, and experience to showcase traditional Chinese cultural crafts.

The museum collects and displays more than 300 pieces (sets) of precious cultural relics, contemporary arts and crafts masterpieces, national characteristic lacquerware, and state gifts, including gold lacquer inlay tools, drawings, and various craft categories such as carving, painting, inlaying, and engraving.

Beijing Gold Lacquer Inlay is an important category of traditional Chinese lacquerware and is known as a "national treasure." It is one of the "Eight Wonders of Yanjing" in the Beijing arts and crafts industry.

Beijing Gold Lacquer Inlay has directly inherited and developed the art of the Ming and Qing imperial courts, forming a Beijing style that is ancient, elegant, dignified, magnificent, and diverse in categories.

Museums are suitable for visitors of different ages to appreciate and experience, including hands-on activities such as making lacquer fans, seal carving services, and handmade bag making. Among them, the handmade bags are designed and developed by Master Hu Xin, featuring perfect restoration of the craftsmanship of gold lacquer inlay.
