The Xuannan Cultural Museum is dedicated to showcasing the historical and cultural heritage of the Xuannan region. Xuannan has been a cultural hub of Beijing since ancient times, nurturing numerous literati and cultural figures, and leaving behind a rich legacy of culture and historical stories.

Beijing Xuannan Cultural Museum is located within the Changchun Temple, which is known as the "First Buddhist Temple of the Capital". It was constructed by Ming Emperor Shenzong to honor his mother, Empress Dowager Xiaoding Li. Emperor Shenzong personally inscribed the plaque "Changchun," taken from the text of "Zhuangzi " to wish his mother longevity.

Currently, the temple primarily serves as museum exhibition halls, with one hall focusing on the history of Changchun Temple.

Xuannan, the oldest area in the ancient city of Beijing, has experienced many changes over the centuries and became a gathering place for Han Chinese officials and scholars during the Qing Dynasty, giving rise to Xuannan culture. It has been a cultural center of Beijing since ancient times, nurturing numerous literati and cultural figures, and leaving behind a rich legacy of culture and historical stories.

In the "Interactive Experience" exhibition area of the museum, visitors can participate in various fun interactive games, allowing them to learn about Xuannan culture in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere and to experience the cultural charm of the region more deeply.

The courtyard of the Xuannan Cultural Museum is adorned with many statues, and visitors can also get their tickets stamped at the studio near the entrance!
