Beijing Cloth Shoe Culture Museum

From the origins of cloth shoes to the aesthetics within them, as well as the development of shoe industry and the intangible heritage craftsmanship within cloth shoes, visitors could gain a comprehensive understanding of the profound heritage and modern innovations of cloth shoe culture, experiencing the beauty of cloth shoes in an Eastern cultural context. The museum displays over 300 cloth shoe artifacts from the Qing Dynasty and the Republican era, together with advertising posters, shoe-boxes, and tools related to the cloth shoe industry. Visitors could also experience customized foot measurement services in a national-level intangible cultural heritage master studio and have close interactions with the inheritors.
