Officially open to the public at Beijing Fun, the Choc Choco Chocolate Museum is a fantasy space themed "A Sweet Encounter with Beijing, A Passion for the East", which took three years to prepare and consumed nearly 50 tons of chocolate in total.
On the first floor, the large chocolate artwork exhibition area displays breathtaking pieces like the Chinese dragon, the Great Wall, the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, the Beijing Central Axis and a coiled dragon caisson ceiling, all made with 22 tons of chocolate (nearly half of the total amount). The "A Book Holds A House of Gold" photo spot features 13.3 cubic meters of chocolate "gold coins", echoing the Aztec history of calling cocoa beans "gold on trees".
The second floor showcases cocoa picking, processing and chocolate-making procedures, as well as chocolate replicas of Chinese and Western art masterpieces. Visitors can watch master chocolatiers at work through the glass of the chocolate kitchen or make their own treats with professional guidance. The 400-square-meter retail area offers classic snacks, exquisite gift boxes and Beijing-themed creative chocolates such as candied hawthorn and roof beast shapes.
