Baita Temple Pharmacy
Formerly known as "Qihuitang" and "Dahuitang" in old Beijing, the Baita Temple Pharmacy was built in 1872 and has a history of over 150 years. Today, through continuous cross-border innovation, the pharmacy has been revitalized and has become another place for the public to learn about the profound culture of Chinese medicine and experience its unique charm in an immersive way.
On the second floor of the Fuchengmen Main Store, there is a Chinese herbal medicine section, a cultural and creative section and a herbal tea and beverage section. The Chinese medicine herbal area is open to the public, making it easy for pharmacists to communicate with customers and answer their questions.
The creative section sells herbal-related products, including popular fridge stickers such as the Pill Pocket Fridge Sticker and a variety of scented pouches such as the lotus flower scented pouches, which signify good luck. The herbal tea and beverage section showcases herbal teas and precious herbs for health and wellness.
In addition, Baita Temple Pharmacy has also used the available space to open a wellness café on the west side of the ground floor. When you enter the café, the aroma of coffee and herbs fills the air, and the interior is modernly decorated in a style that contrasts sharply with the quaint pharmacy on the same floor.
