China Agricultural Museum, a large garden-style museum, stands on the East 3rd Ring Road in Beijing. It is also known as the National Agriculture Exhibition Center. The National Agriculture Exhibition Center is one of the “Ten Great Buildings” in Beijing in the 1950s. It was completed and opened in 1959. In September 1986, the China Agricultural Museum was officially opened on the basis of the Agriculture Exhibition Center, implementing a management model of “one institution with two names”.

China Agricultural Museum, a large garden-style museum, stands on the East 3rd Ring Road in Beijing. It is also known as the National Agriculture Exhibition Center. The National Agriculture Exhibition Center is one of the “Ten Great Buildings” in Beijing in the 1950s. It was completed and opened in 1959. In September 1986, the China Agricultural Museum was officially opened on the basis of the Agriculture Exhibition Center, implementing a management model of “one institution with two names”.

The China Agricultural Museum has a collection of over 140,000 items, including ancient agricultural books, traditional farming implements, colored potteries, agricultural tickets, agricultural posters, Gaomi New Year paintings, soil samples, and agricultural wax fruits. Among them, there are 213 first-grade cultural relics. The museum has basic displays such as “Chinese Agricultural Civilization”, along with the thematic displays including “Traditional Farm Tools in China”, “Chinese Soil Specimen”, and “Colored Pottery— Soul-Tian Shili Donation of Painted Pottery Exhibition”. It also houses an agricultural science popularization museum, a traditional agricultural activities garden based on the twenty-four solar terms, and more, vividly showcasing the long history and profound Chinese agricultural civilization.
