Zhongwu Park

Zhongwu Park is a 46-hectare park in Haidian District, east of Beiwucun Road and south of West Yiheyuan Road. Historically, the area was flat and rich in groundwater, and it was part of the Goshui Lake during the Qing Dynasty, where rice was intensively planted to produce the famous "West Beijing Rice." The Park was built with memory of the historical landscape in mind, pursuing the harmony and unity of the three mountains and five gardens of the royal garden, as well as the peripheral field environment, with idyllic scenery, willow forest, and stream fields as the main landscape features of Zhongwu Park.

Today's terraced landscape is developed by its own terrain on the basis of the original paddy fields. Walking along the ridges and walkways, strolling through the rice fields, tasting the aroma of rice, and resting your thoughts. What could be more pleasing to the eyes than to be surrounded by greenery? Not far away is a big flat paddy field, a portion of which is neatly classified, and it is not an exaggeration to call it a sea of rice.
